During his time in the Senate, Anthony served as the Chair of the Joint Committee on Municipalities and Regional Government, the Joint Committee on Environment and Natural Resources and the Joint Committee on Financial Services. Some of his legislative accomplishments include leading the passage of the first modernization of the state's banking laws in over thirty years and representing the Senate in conference committee negotiations for the landmark health care cost control law that created the Commonwealth's Health Policy Commission. Most recently, he served as the Senate Majority Whip.
