Tim Foley Design is a Boston-based web design and graphic design studio.

Since it began in 2006, Tim Foley Design has provided a full range of web design and graphic design services for clients in many industries. The principal, Tim, is expert at creating and maintaining a consistent brand image throughout all corporate communications. Tim's partnership with other talented communications experts allows him to bring a variety of expanded services to his clients.

The Services

Tim Foley Design provides web strategy and design for small businesses and non-profits.

We work with clients to create an effective strategy for the site including the user experience (UX), the architecture for the site (major navigation), and a clear purpose and goal for the site. This includes branding, creative direction, and graphic design.

We are also able fulfill any functional requirements you have. We employ the latest technology, including HTML, CSS, WordPress, Joomla, and/or Drupal. We can provide a seamless integration with any web products incorporated into the site.

The Principal

Tim Foley, the principal, is an award-winning graphic designer with over 20 years of experience. He has designed for large companies (Westin Copley Hotel, the MathWorks), non-profits (Mass League of Community Health Centers, Harvard Catholic Chaplaincy), and smaller businesses (Turner Fisheries, Hill House Boston). He has worked in all capacities for his clients—freelance designer, outsourced graphic designer, project manager, strategist, and consultant. In 2014, he renamed his company—from Tim Foley Studios to Tim Foley Design—as his services focused more on design.

His previous experience includes working as Creative Director/Lead Designer for The Boston Globe's Marketing Department. He worked in the Creative Services departments of The MathWorks. Tim was on the Continuing Education teaching staff at The Massachusetts College of Art and Design. He was also on staff as a teacher at The Clark University Computer Career Institute in Cambridge and as an instructor with Spire in Boston.

In 1999, Tim began work on his first major website—redesigning The Boston Globe's Intranet. He won the Outstanding Achievement Award for the redesign. Since then, his work has received many other accolades, among them first-place winner at the International Newspaper Marketing Awards; the Award for Design Excellence from Graphic Design USA Magazine; and winner of the Newspaper Association of America's prestigious ACME Award of Excellence.

In addition to working in the creative field, Tim was on the Board of Directors for the Boston Globe Credit Union, served as President of the Business Network International Financial District Chapter, and was the Marketing Director for the Irish Heritage Festival.

Tim graduated from the Graphic Design Certificate Program of The Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 1998. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics, from Clark University, in 1987.

Diane Riccardelli: Development Director

Diane is an information technology and consulting professional with over 20 years of experience building and leading technology teams. She has engineered productive and innovative work teams and developed strong customer relationships. She also provides technology consulting to small and emerging companies.

Diane worked at Tufts University for over 15 years. As manager of undergraduate computer facilities, she led the project to put Tufts on the World Wide Web (one of the first universities in the country to do so). She led the project of on-line courses and ensured connectivity for all students managing the Tufts On-line project.

Diane has been a program chair for Res-net—a national conference for campus networking. She is also the cofounder of The Giving Camp for people with disabilities, providing all technology support for an on-line presence.

Diane earned her BA from Tufts University.

Sean Horrigan: Brand Strategist

Sean Horrigan is a brand strategist with over 20 years of experience on both the agency and the client side. Sean recently served as the project manager for the redesign and launch of JimmyFund.org. Sean's health care clients include the Greater New Bedford Community Health Center, Fenway Community Health Center and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Sean is a blogger and webinar host for Nonprofit Hub and a regular speaker on brand strategy throughout the Boston area.

Maritza Medina: Graphic Designer

Maritza Medina is a graphic designer with over 20 years of experience designing print media. Her clients include the Boston Public Health Commission, Harvard School of Public Health, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Latin-American Health Institute, and Northeastern University. Prior to graphic design, she was a publishing Production Director, where she worked with Ziff Davis Publishing (publisher of Modern Bride), the International Data Group (publisher of MacWorld) and Stream International to establish production processes, hire vendors, collaborate with publishers and editors to launch new publications.

Originally from New York, she has a design certificate from the Massachusetts College of Art, studied at Pratt Institute and the School of Visual Arts in New York. She moved to Boston with Ziff Davis to establish a production department to then convert a monthly magazine to a weekly newspaper.
